My Trip to Kotzebue, Alaska
Tomorrow, or maybe the day after, President Obama will visit Kotzebue, Alaska, a tiny village on the Chukchi Sea. Eight years ago, I spent a couple days in Kotzebue and then traveled up the river to Shungnak to write a story about high gasoline prices.
I visited the wind farm where I suspect President Obama will tour tomorrow. And I ate reindeer sausage in the small, Korean-run restaurant. I struggled to sleep because the sun never set.
My article ran on the front page of a Saturday Wall Street Journal. Interested? Read it here.
